UX / UI Designer

Guillermo

What does your job look like?

I am a User Experience and Interface Designer (UX / UI). My role is to understand the users’ behavior and adapt our products to meet users’ expectations, address their annoyances and make it intuitive for them to reach their goals.

What does your job look like?

My position is all about communication and problem solving. That is the reason I dive into a lot of team meetings to really understand the problem that needs to be solved in order to design a solution that covers all possible outcomes.

What’s the first thing you do when you start working?

Planning mostly. I check my “busy” slots filled with meetings as well as my free ones where I can design and work by myself. Working like this allows me to set expectations for my team and meet deadlines accordingly.

What’s your professional background?

I started studying Fine Arts in Spain and although it was a very interesting field, Graphic Design ended up becoming my real passion. I also lived in Belgium where I became focused on this field and through my professional career, which slowly continued to shift from Graphic- to Web and User Experience Design.

What do you love about your job?

Being a UX designer is mainly about problem solving through empathy. Stepping into other peoples’ shoes while coming up with a hypothesis of their experiences and validating that process. That is my favorite part of the role.

What’s your favourite thing about viesure?

viesure has proven to be a place where I can grow personally and professionally. The company culture and agile framework leaves space for everyone to speak up and to be listened to, as well as to learn and excel thanks to all the resources provided. In my opinion, the communal mindset of my colleagues is definitely one of the most appreciated assets.

Lastly, what’s your message for us?

When looking for a new job, seek one where you are truly appreciated and where you’re allowed to become part of the company’s current process, as well as its evolution.
